Cheshire Events specialise in providing informal, enjoyable wine tasting events for corporate entertainment, from conferences to parties, from team building to charity fund raising events. These events are informative, fun and rewarding for anyone who enjoys a glass of wine. Whether they are an expert or a complete novice guests will appreciate being given a little extra knowledge to help them understand which wines suit their palate.

We offer a choice of formats, which can all be adapted to suit specific requirements. Please note our wine tastings are wine events. There is no pressurised selling of wine to the guests. The purpose is for everyone to have an enjoyable, memorable wine experience.

STRUCTURED TASTING

Ideal for entertaining clients or to get teams socialising and bonding. This format is suitable for small to Medium sized groups. Guests are seated at tables of 6 – 10 and are led through 8 wines with informative, interesting background information on each, plus hints and tips on how to choose wine. Some wines can be tasted blind with guests guessing the grape variety, price and country of origin. This format usually lasts 1 - 2 hours.

‘PUB QUIZ’ STYLE

Ideal for team building or as a pre dinner activity. After a light hearted introduction to the art of wine tasting using 2 or 3 wines, small teams of 4 or 5 guests then compete to identify country of origin, price and grape of 4 / 5 wines. Keeping the pace up to maintain the fun, we incorporate bonus points in a quick fire round of fun wine and general knowledge questions.
At the end of the tasting, the scores are added up and prizes awarded. This is a very popular event and is ideal for groups of 10 – 60 people.

CASUAL COCKTAIL PARTY STYLE

Ideal for corporate hospitality, product launches or as a pre-dinner reception. After an introduction on how to taste, the wines are set out for guests to taste at their leisure. This can incorporate comparative tastings such as Classic Burgundy against New World Pinot Noirs or Chardonnays. This format can also be competitive with guests having answer sheets to identify wines which they taste blind. This format can last from _ - 2 hours and is suitable for larger groups.
